WOW.. it has nearly been two weeks since I last wrote a blog... I have just been so busy with appointments and travelling back and forth to London and home. Every thing has happened so quick in the last few weeks and I want to write it now in a short blog post as I don't want to dweeellll on the down side of things.
So.. where do I actually start haha?! First off, I have now had 3 Xray's on my wrist.. YES three! and I have had a MRI scan on it too! One doctor can see a possibility of a fracture and another says he can't see anything obvious so he needs to look again. HMMM? I am still waiting back for my MRI results though. The same day I had my third Xray, I also had an appointment in London with my other doctor, who is specialised in dance... Me and my dad were sat at his desk when he told me my blood test results... 'You have rheumatoid arthritis.' I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT. My markers for RA were higgghhhhhh but luckily my inflammatory marker isn't too high which means my doctor has caught me at the early stages. WHICH MEANS i hopefully can get my RA under control! At the moment, he has put me on these tablets which i take twice a day. He also advised me to take a year out of my dance uni...
You can guess the next part right? Since this monday, I have officially temporary withdrawn from my BA Hons Dance Theatre Degree course at London Studio Centre... Sounds all bad, but honestly there are so many positives out of everything that is happening! For instance, I do not have to take a full year out, it will only be 9 months; so I come back still as a 2nd year in April next year to finish my academic year before going into my final year. So I will only be a year behind instead of two! WOW i have said 'year' so many times hahaha.
I am determined to get so strong, fit and healthy and come back as a better improved dancer for next year!!! I don't have to stop dancing for 9 months, i just have to wait until my wrist is completely better and then just take it easy from there as I need to focus on getting strong before pushing my body to far!
I will keep updating my blog as I want to record my journey for this next 9 months (sounds cringey but HAY!)
Always stay motivated and determined.
Love ChrisTINA x
